Akva Waterbeds
Akva Waterbeds ( www.akva.com ) are one of the largest waterbed manufacturers in Europe who offer a vast range of options throughout their range. Based in Denmark they pride themselves on being as Eco friendly as possible looking into everything they produce.
We have been one of their main UK agents for many years and seen the company expand. Their motto “probably the best waterbed in the world” is often not far from the truth. Quality and versatility is in the forefront of their minds when it comes to production.
Nearly all their models have the option of drawers, storage, headboards, and they offer a range of 16+ different mattresses as well as two types of dual system (twin mattresses). The Akva Soft and the Akva Allround probably being their most popular models in the UK.
The Akva Soft has a 'Mono block' cushion that is a standard 9” deep right angled triangle to take the water mattress housed within a safety liner. Simple in design and when dressed looks just like a conventional mattress.
The Akva Allround has a partial lower frame that is upholstered in a range of fabrics and vinyl coverings to allow for colour co-ordination, as well as a real leather option. Having been given a facelift several years ago from the Delta model, the Allround has become a very popular model with little difference in price from its predecessor.
A selection of zip top covers which can be removed for washing have different quilted fillings that have up to a 75% cotton content offering a much better hygienic sleep system than any conventional bed. A mattress protector and/or 'comfort top' adds to the comfort zone and hygiene level.
